Pregnancy: Week 9

Monday, September 3rd - which is ironically Labor Day(!) - marks Week 9 of Csilla's pregnancy.  This week some things we can expect from her are:

• Dam begins to spend a lot more time in self-grooming (she is cleaning herself like a cat!).
• Her breasts become even more swollen (see photo!)
• She may become a bit restlessness and begin to search for a suitable place to have her puppies.*

*Csilla need not worry where to have her puppies as I have clean and safe whelping box for her to birth the puppies, they will be born in my office at home when the day comes.  I have already set aside lots of soft fleece blankets and foam cushioning for her to be comfortable.

Tuesday, September 4th is the BIG DAY a/k/a X-RAY DAY!  Around Day 55+ its best to have an x-ray done at the vet to count the number of puppies she is carrying.  This is helpful during the whelp, so you know when she is "done".
